Hebrew School - Wednesdays 1:45 - 3:00 PM
Location: 400 Tamal Plaza Ste. 423
Our exciting day begins with our hands-on Jewish History Discovery curriculum. We will explore the six days of creation and the beginning of man through our fabulous LEGO-inspired interactive timeline. Every week, children will add to their Lego timeline, refreshing their memories with a visual reminder of all they have learned.
The Holiday Curriculum is based around the Jewish Holidays. Students bake or cook foods symbolic of the holiday and play interactive games to learn about the holiday's meanings and traditions.
Gratitude Circle is a short prayer Circle in which we share what we're grateful for and give charity to instill kindness and giving in our young population.
Snack consists of kosher fruits, pretzels, and homemade healthy muffins
The Hebrew Reading & Language Curriculum follows a popular color-coded Aleph Champ system where the children systematically learn to read Hebrew, going up in levels until they graduate the ‘’black level’’. There are 10 levels to achieve reading fluency, modeled after the art of Karate. Every lesson incorporates fun games and activities to help the students meet their reading goals. Students receive medallions as they move up in ranks. The beauty of the Aleph Champ program is that you can have many children learning in the same classroom, but all on their own individual levels. The levels are divided not by age but by ability. Some children progress faster and move up in levels faster, and some take a little longer to move up in level; each child learns at their own pace. Once a student masters all 10 levels, they can read fluently. During Aleph Champ, each child is welcomed to read at their own level and pace and be proud of their achievements.
