“West Bloomfield, Michigan is my hometown. I come from a family of 10. My father is a Shliach of the Rebbe serving the Russian Jewish community in the greater Detroit area. I was raised loving every person who walked through my parents’ doors. I loved the Shabbat meals with guests, the Public Menorah lightings my Dad ran, and the joy that emanated from our busy household. I knew this was something I wanted to do when I grew up. My educational journeys took me across the Country. I enjoyed learning about different Jewish communities, cultures, and personalities, colorful and intriguing.

My rabbinical residency included stints in communities in Montana, Florida, and Oklahoma. Meeting Yocheved in Orange, Connecticut, and sharing the same goals we set out on a quest to become Shluchim of the Rebbe. And I am so grateful that we are here. When I am not busy putting up a Mezuzah, delivering chicken soup, or picking up Juda kids for Hebrew school I can be found hiking, bird watching, and spending time playing with my awesome (and exasperating) crew”.

“I was born and raised in San Francisco and am the eighth child of a family of 12. I loved growing up in the city, attending a private Jewish school during the day, and helping my parents in the evening with their outreach activities. I grew up in a warm, loving home, filled with colorful individuals all seeking a connection to Judaism. My parents’ joy shone in everything they did, from cooking and baking for the sick in the hospital to making Holiday dinners and Jewish kid’s events for the community. I studied abroad for many years and enjoyed exposure to vast cultures and communities. My education included an intensive year of study in a teachers’ Seminar in Israel and online child psychology.

When I met Mendel, I knew I found my partner for life. We shared so many of the same goals, had similar upbringings, and were both super excited to begin our journey of life together. I had always wanted to move back to the city and after some years we did indeed return to do what we love best; Building the Jewish community through love, traditions, values, and joy. I enjoy cooking and party/ event planning and hiking the natural and beautiful landscapes in Marin”.
