Jewish Holiday & Heritage Program

Our Jewish Holiday & Heritage Program brings the richness of Jewish tradition to life through hands-on, experiential activities that make learning meaningful and fun. Each session blends interactive discussions with creative projects, giving students a deeper connection to our history, values, and celebrations.

This year’s exciting theme, “Blessings and Our Part in the World,” will guide our exploration of the Jewish calendar, customs, and stories. Together, we’ll discover how blessings shape our daily lives, inspire gratitude, and empower us to make a positive impact in our communities and beyond.

Students will not only learn about each holiday—they will experience it through cooking, crafts, drama, and music, making every lesson memorable and relevant.

Our Hebrew Reading & Language Program – Aleph Champ

We use the popular color-coded Aleph Champ system, a step-by-step program designed to help children learn to read Hebrew at their own pace. Modeled after the art of karate, Aleph Champ has 10 levels, each marked by a different color “belt,” leading to the ultimate goal — graduating the Black Level and achieving Hebrew reading fluency.

Each lesson blends structured learning with fun games and activities to keep students motivated. Children earn medallions as they advance, giving them a sense of accomplishment and excitement.

The beauty of the Aleph Champ program is that students of different ages and abilities can learn in the same classroom — each progressing at their own level and pace. Some children move up quickly, while others take more time, but every child learns in a way that works best for them. By the time a student completes all 10 levels, they will be able to read Hebrew with confidence and pride.
